To me, love is chaste and selfless and spiritual. |

I was borderline "Storge" (you know, love-based-in-friendship). Mostly true-ish, I suppose. Except for the chaste bit. Once one is officially bonded, love should never be chaste... with them, I mean. ;-)

Love -- I'm much too selfish for that. :P
no 1) I'm worried for anyone who likes the backstreet "men" :P Are you sure the heat isn't making you woozy? :P
no 2) pfft liz, *HUGS* :P
hehe.. yah man, the heat these days, it's driving me crazy actually.
Actually, it hasn't been that hot lately. I guess we're going into what passes for autumn in Qld. It has been raining all week, though (my washing is piling up). That's driving me a little bonkers...
And you're not too selfish for love, Liz. Ya love me, right? ;-)
(And that can lead into a whole new discussion as to how love isn't always about "the One" love... whenever I think of love, I'm not thinking about just boyfriends/girlfriends/etc.... and now I'm starting to realise why I got the agape answer thing. Penny drops. Darn).
I care about my friends. I hate to use the word love because it's difficult to define logically and often leads to lot of misunderstandings and misplaced expectations.
I got Eros :p I say no more.
Ya, surprisingly, I have nothing to say to that, either. 0-0
Liz. Yes, love is difficult to define logically, but as my Cancerian friend with the Eros problem keeps telling me, that's supposed to be the point. Blerh. But then, the fact that the english language only has one word to cover such a range of possible emotion has annoyed me for a while.
What was it Jat said once? "I love you" or "I love pancakes". It's not the same thing, but we use the same word.
So other than Blerh - you're saying you'd prefer to be an Eskimo??? (I'm going with the many word = snow/ice deal here).
It's early & I need coffee (obviously).
I get Storge. I'd never heard of Storge.
Nicky, honey, I have no idea what you just said. And I've *had* my coffee. :-P
Are we having penguin things again? ;-)
I hadn't heard of Storge either. Agape, Eros, Phileo, yes. Storge? Sounds like a vegetable. You know, the type your maother made you sit at the table for hours until you ate it.
"Hey, who's up for a big bowl of storge?"
Only if YOU are cooking it! :-P
