Edit: found out I have a rather nasty case of strep throat. Hoi. I'd yell "Why me?" at the universe, but a) I'm not really that sort of person, and b) it hurts too much to whisper, let alone yell... ;-) So, I guess, I'll just roll my eyes and think, "Oh, no, not again," all petunia-like.

All I'm gonna say is that there is a thing called THROAT CHAKRA and has mucho to do with well things like E-M-O-T-I-O-N-S.

Heart/green is emotion, empathy, unconditional love. Did that already last year, you might recall. ;-)
Heart OK, now dealing with lungs, throat & arms, cervical vertebrae.... blue chakra. (On a side note, wow... you know why). With a bit of red thrown in (expectations, physical energy, physical restrictions).
So, ner.

On the throat thing yes communication which can also be considered.......expressing oneself. So again I go back to the emotion stuff - heart is love and all that stuff, throat is expression of ALL things :P so you could go down the what are you not expressing truly ....... :P

The throat chakra is to do with communication.
Yes, you could argue that some communication is about emotions... but not all. Sometimes, we communicate about the weather. :-P
You could also argue (using your definition) that the heart chakra is about communication, as some emotions are caused by communication, or lack thereof... but then, you'd be nulling the distinction between the chakras and blurring them into one.
Unless, of course, that's what you meant to do? Are the heart chakras and throat chakras one and the same, in fact?
